than than learns to rock

Nowadays than than moves a lot, he wobbles from one end to another end of the two merged king size beds. on top of that he loves to fly down from the mattress to the floor speedily. He is only 5 months old, we are worried that he would break his backbone.

He is sleeping now after working hard (not to close his eyes) since this morning, it is almost 12 midnight now. I thought insomnia happens only to grown-ups, but infant like him can also have this! Last night was worse, he woke up at 10 pm then started to move around until 3 am this morning. The poor papa and mama suffer so much, whenever we turned off the lights he would cry.

Any way, it is just part of growing pains that parents have to face. Just pray that he will grow up faster that we can endure.

papa's father's day gift

today is father's day. Guess what natnat gave to papa?
The loving papa drove us to the Scoops, then the papa ordered poor mama went down to buy a cup of strawberry yogurt ice cream, then guess what?
papa gave it to the daughther, then nat nat let papa have a spoon of the ice cream, then she started to enjoy her yummy delicious ice cream.
Excellent! What type of father we have nowadays? No present receive is not a big deal, worse still giving out present in return.

I hope the little nat nat would remember how much the papa love her forever and ever. It is always our prayer, she would find a husband who loves her that much when she grows up.

Why keep promise?

Last Sunday, I promised to bring natnat to park for swing at 5.30pm, the sky was still bright and clear. However due to 'dog house and chicken projects', we only reached the park after 7 pm, the sky was dark. Pat reconfirmed with me again whether we should go because there were so many mosquitoes. But, I was so ignorant, I just wanted to keep my promise, so I insisted every one go down for a while at least. Huh, just for a 5 minutes swinging, natnat was 'rewarded' with 36 red spots all over her neck, arms and legs by the mosquito troopers!

Till today, those bites are still swelling. My goodness, isn't the idea of keeping promise silly? So parents have to be wise in making decisions, otherwise the poor kids who trust you so very much are endangered by us.

Why kid lies?

Yesterday evening, I fetched my little than than after natnat as usual. Suddenly natnat made a 'lion' roar at me. I was mad, immediately I told her that she had to pull her ears three times when we reached home. She begged me not to punish her, then I asked her why did she act like that. She said, "I don't know." Then I told her to that I will add another 3 times pulling ears on her. Guess what? She said, "I know because you carry than than. Now, I don't need to pull ears, ok?"
SO KID LIES BECAUSE OF JEOLOUSY! She is jeolous of the younger brother who is only 5 months old!

This afternoon, before I left for babysitter's house, I asked her whether she has locked the door of the master bedroom (I am scared of lizards entering my room!). Again, she said 'No', then immediately she changed to 'Yes'. SO KID LIES BECAUSE OF LAZINESS! This time I didn't punish her anymore, in fact i didn't punish her too yesterday. I told her that I knew she lied and I forgave. Then I asked her to go upstair to close the door and I will give her a big kiss and hug after that. So she walked with her two stumpy legs slowly upstairs and came down steadily with the door closed properly. Of course I gave her my most sincerest kiss and hug, and she kissed and hugged me too.

She is only 3 years and 1 month, she has a long way to put her integrity right.

Wednesday, July 12, 2006 - Noon picnicers

Wondering when we first started to have our lunch in the car. Nat, the mama and the papa, enjoying the lunch box prepared by the mother every early morning, sitting in our 'cute' car, nearby the river side, with drinks and fruit (Ting Pek King's Mango). Wow! what a wonderful picture of picnickers.

Besides fulfilling our daily need, we also discovered a few things that we desperately need to do...Hai! all need money...have to postpone...

Let's talk about Ting Pek King's fruits stall. Mango, Honey oranges, Nanga, Cempedak...Really delicious...BUT beware of the pamelo...it taste like syrup, if I squeeze it into juice, I bet you would never know what the hell is that. Don't believe? try it yourself. Best time to shop at his stall at Satok is arround 9:00am, Saturday morning, when most of the fruits are still fresh (fly in from Bintulu).

Wednesday, July 12, 2006 - cap issues

Regarding the "extra" cap, Uncle Kang (also known as KoKo Kang) has his conclusion. The cap is belongs to the other tricycle which has been misplaced in the box of the tricycle that I bought...Oh Sh..! then who ever bought the other unit will only has 1 cap...poor guy...actually, without 1 cap doesn't has any safety impact but appearance only...we are all used to see cars without 1 wheel cap...Anyway, I don't think I will drive all the way to Parkson to return the 'extra' cap. Any volunteer???

Monday, July 10, 2006 - Tricycle

Nat got her dreamed tricycle from Parkson yesterday. She loves it very much. She brought it everywhere she went, upstair, downstair, kitchen...Poor YiYi, have to carry it upstair and downstair again and agian...

There was a 'cap' left over after the installation by her mother. The father can't figure out where should the cap belongs to...too...although he is a so call engineer (the tricycle has no engine). Hopefully the cap is the spare part provided by Fisher Price as claimed by her mum.

Nat is still learning how to control the tricycle...and most importantly, how to make it move as she wanted it to be...I think she prefer to be pushed instead of paddling.

Sunday, July 09, 2006 - Tricycle

For Nat, cutting down on the meals may not be sufficient. She needs intensive remedy. I am going to get her a tricycle as soon as possible so she can paddle around to burn off her fat. Hopefully, the father has no objection as he has been stopping me from buying that since few months ago.

Nat is a very adorable, charming and kind-hearted little girl. Unfortunately people make fun of her size, the world is always cruel to fat people! With this slimming programme, I hope we could help her to gain back her good shape.

Sunday, July 09, 2006 - Nat's Slimming Programme

Nat is about 26 months with weight of 21kg...So, her mum decided to carryout a slimming programme for her after listening to doctor advise. The doctor treathen that Nat have to do blood test if she didn't improve on her weight.

First thing, to get a bathroom scale for her today...no target set yet. Will be closely monitor her diet...cut down noodle, egg, and maybe rice...

Things are always difficult at start. Nat and her mum have a big arguement during lunch end up with cry and tear...Still long way to go...Hopefully she will get through this...

nat went to dentist

On the 12th May 2007, I found out nat nat got a broken tooth right on the top front row, that really worries me. Then I made an appointment with dentist kho.

On the 15th May 2007, before 2 pm, nat nat and i waited humbly outside the clinic to 'patch' the tooth. Again that was her first trip to dental clinic. To my surprise, dentist showed me her top front teeth, about 10 are rotten. If he were to fill them up then nat nat sure have a 'good' day. He was very professional, he didn't want to fill/coat the teeth without drilling them. After some negotiations, nat started her first tooth filling, she covered her ears as she could not stand the drilling sound and pain too! At the end, the dentist only managed to drill 1/4 of that rotten tooth and fill it up. He told me that could last at most for 3 months, but I don't think so (I checked her tooth yesterday, the fill is getting lesser in just a month). Huh, rm25 can last less than 3 months. We can't do much, papa even bought her electric tooth brush since she started brushing teeth early this year.If she were to be toothless by the age of 4, that is terrifying!

nat's first foot reflexology session

Again, as advised by guru Annie, natnat needs to have a more balanced health ( i don't know how to quote her term!), we brought natnat to her first ever foot reflexology at Jalan Kempas on 5th June 2007 (Tuesady) at 7.30pm. papa even came home earlier to attend her to this BIG occassion. We were worried that she may not be able to sit that long. The reflexologist is a China man, he doesn't speak english. At first, both of them have chicken and duck talk, later nat spoke to him in Mandarin, he was so amazed that nat can speak in both language so well.

Though that was her first FR, she loved it too. She told me that if she is a good girl then she can go again. Oops, she really knows how to enjoy life. We paid 38 for the 50 minutes spent! She went to sleep earlier that night. Perhaps, the FR really soothed her.

nat's new hair cut

Ever since January 2006, nat nat has not had any hair cut at saloon. Yesterday, I got advice from Yoga guru, Annie that tying up long hair all the time can strain the scalp and not healthy for a toddler at all. Oops, that is bad for nat nat! I brought her to the saloon to give a new look during lunch. Wow, she loves the new look, and the babysitters said she look prettier!

The loving papa told me to her to saloon, foot reflexology and dentist more frequently, so that the cute nat nat can stay fit all the time. Papa is so 'jimat-cermat' yet he is willing to spend all he has to cheer his girl and boy up! I guess this is what we call father's love.

A kiss

than than cried this morning when we sent him to red house:( He started to know that he has to leave us every morning to evening from Monday to Friday when he reached 5 months old, today he is 5 months 10 days. I wish I could find a way to put than and nat at one place soon :)

As usual, I sent nat nat to aunty's house, but I fed her noodles and milo before I left, to my surprise, she kissed me on my cheek before I came to work. Indeed, toddlers at the age of 3 still have poor memory, she forgot and forgave me. I scolded her early in the morning for making so much noise, papa even commented that i was too mean to her!

Indeed I learnt a good lesson from her, keep memory of the good things but forget and forgive the bad things people have done to you (as soon as possible!).

Semenggoh Wildlife Centre

Labor Day Outing; Visited Semenggoh Wildlife Centre on 1st of May 2007. It located about 10 miles from Kuching city, near to Padawan Town. The entrance fee is RM3.00 per adult. We were lucky to meet Richie, the oldest and biggest 'orang utan' at the centre. He was having his breakfast at the time we arrived. Together with 'it', were another 3 'family members'.

After the photo session, we proceed to the feeding platform in the jungle, lead by the park ranger. It was about 15 minutes walking distance. There were about 30 people, among us have white, yellow, black and some mixture of these color. All of us were egar to see how the ranger feed the 'wild' orang utan. After waiting for 30, 40, 50... minutes, people started to grumble.

Two types of comment were observed;
1) The rehabilitation programme here is very successful. All those 'orang utans' are capable to find food by themself. They are ready to join their 'friends' back in the wild again.
2) "where is d olang utan?". "spend money to wait kah". "got cheated. where got orang utan"

We retreated after an hour of waiting in the jungle and left the centre after the rain stopped. We stopped by the pitcher plant garden and spent 1.5 hours there.
